I can't keep her and I'm heartbroken

Miss Delilah here came to me a month ago starving and full of ticks. She's been to the vet, been vaccinated and tested for feline leukemia and the like. Dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks. She's estimated to be at least 10 and is in overall good health despite her weight.

I really wanted to keep her. She's such a sweetheart, very affectionate and really good with my young nieces. However, she's aggressive/defensive towards my other cats. Despite having her for a month, she still hisses and attacks whenever my other cats get too close to her. For her own health, I've decided she'd be better as an only cat. It saddens me, but I need to do what's best for her. I don't want to just surrender her to the shelter, but everyone I know already has at least one cat.

I just want to know that she'll be going to a good home. She deserves the best for an old lady like her. I'm worried if I take her to the shelter, she won't get adopted due to her age. I'll just have to keep her in my room, separated from the other cats, until I can find her a home. 💔💔

It started with five little guys. Now I've got dozens. My shrimp are thriving. My plants are growing. I'm genuinely so proud at how this tank has turned out. I can watch these guys for hours. I'm excitedly showing everyone I know pictures and videos of my shrimp. I'm so happy.

Starting this shrimp tank has been the best decision of my life. It's giving me a purpose. I'm motivated to do the best so I can continue to care for these shrimp ❤️❤️❤️
