Pre-341 call with trustee left me uncomfortable. Is this normal?

I spoke with my trustee over the weekend ahead of my 341 meeting on May 20. He explained that he contacts everyone, whether represented or pro se, to clear up issues beforehand so the meeting stays brief.

During the call, we reviewed my bank statements and he questioned several transactions, including money my best friend sent me that I used for car repairs. I recently had ongoing repairs due to coolant and oil leak issues. Some payments went to a larger repair shop with visible charges, while others were paid through Zelle to a smaller independent mechanic. I have invoices documenting the repairs and offered to provide them.

What made me uncomfortable was that, despite my explanation and proof, he repeatedly implied the mechanic was my boyfriend rather than focusing on the documentation. He also made comments about my VA disability and my age, saying most people he sees receiving disability are older, which felt unnecessary and unrelated.

I understand trustees have to verify information and perform due diligence, but it felt less like clarification and more like he was trying to catch me in a lie even after I offered supporting proof.

He also questioned why I had not surrendered my vehicle, though I never stated that I refused to surrender it. He requested payoff information from Santander, and while I was unable to obtain it immediately, I did provide the settlement/reaffirmation offer showing a reduced interest rate. Given the amount already invested into repairs and my need for reliable transportation for work and my daughter’s school, keeping the vehicle would make the most practical sense if approved. Otherwise, I understand I may have to proceed with a ride-and-pay arrangement depending on the court’s decision.

At this point, I’m mainly hoping the 341 meeting goes smoothly and concludes without further issues.

Auto lender offered new terms for reaffirmation

Has anyone ever had their auto lender send a reaffirmation agreement proposing an offer with a reduced interest rate and payment? Right now, I am $10,000 underwater for my car. I just put a lot of repairs in it, so I know it's reliable. my interest rate is 16.1%, but they are proposing to drop it to 10%. However, if the judge does not approve the reaffirmation agreement, then will Santander typically allow me to do the pay and ride? If the judge does not approve the reaffirmation agreement, then the offer is null and void?

My trustee reached out a few days ago to let me know what documents they need as I filed pro se for my 341 meeting that is scheduled for May 20th. I need to turn these documents in by the 13th. I have a dilemma because, of course, he needs a document showing my payoff information for my auto loan or even a statement showing it. I've always opted into e-statements and I've never downloaded any of my statement. The issue is, of course, because I filed the Chapter 7 Santander currently has my online account restricted. So, of course, I give them a call and the only option for me to obtain what he is asking for is if they send it by mail, which is 7 to 10 business days. I did ask if there was a way that I can have it expedited and they said no. And also, the other option is me having it faxed, but even with that, that will take 3 to 5 business days. I don't have a fax, but I was trying to see if maybe they could fax it to my trustee, but at this point, I did communicate with the trustee to let him know. He said, he will even take 2 to 3 month old statements, but the thing is I don't have statements at all. So I'm not sure how else to do to comply with what’s being asked. Has this happened to anyone? Will they request a continuation? I have everything else he’s asking for. It’s a no asset cause I’m literally upside down on this loan and do not plan to reaffirm
