Can you please tell me what this diagnosis from an ER visit means?
Reason for Visit
Chief complaints: Suicidal and Delusional
Visit diagnoses:
· Suicidal ideation (primary)
· Bipolar affective disorder, remission status unspecified
· Homeless
· Long-term current use of thyroid hormone replacement therapy
· Personal history of allergy to sulfonamides
Hospital problem: Depression
I guess what I really want to know is how the bipolar could be in remission if I’m currently in a depression?
