Has anyone battled tendonitis in their lower bicept/upper forearm, around the elbow, and had success recovering?
Context: I've been lifting intensly consistently for over a year now (much longer but without a real plan) and typically get in 3 to 4 workouts a week (I lift on my luch break). I've been doing legs, back/bis, chest/tris, and one day of the major groups. Workouts are 45min, progressive overload, 3 sets 12reps to failure. I've put on about 15 pounds and my arms are bigger than they used to be.
Problem: I can't contract and squeeze my left bicept without pain in my elbow/bicept/upper forearm where it all meets. At this point it is hard to do any substantial upper body exercise that requires bending that elbow and contracting the bicept. Even picking up my 2yo is hard. Anyone else experience this and was able to recover? If so how? I've been icing and taking Ibuprofen every night and have taken off a week of lifting to rest. Please help!
