I have been diagnosed with a Myoepithelial carcinoma that started in parotid gland and has metastasized to my rib. I have had a parotidectomy for the tumor in my neck and started 1 round of CAP chemo treatment for the mass in my back. The oncology team is unsure if the chemo is working at this time. I am scheduled to have surgery to remove the rib tumor next week.
Has anyone with Myoepithelial carcinoma had a successful treatment plan with curative intent? I am a 34F with a toddler at home. I really need to fight and win this battle. Any advice is appreciated.
