ADHD GPs

I have had a diagnosis of ADHD since I was a child. I have been unmedicated for most of my life due to inaccessibility. I am now seeking medication support to stabilise the brain.

I am finding it so difficult to have a GP prescribe. I have searched all the GPs that are newly trained: not taking on new patients.

No other GP wants to prescribe either. I am really struggling.

Any advice or GPs you can recommend would be fab.

Thanks so much

GPs and medication disepnsing

Hiiii, SA girly here. My psychiatrists report was sent to my GP who has been given authority to prescribe. My GP today told me that she will not and no other doctor in the clinic will prescribe me my medication...

I have been at my clinic for over 8 yrs. She had a go at me when I asked clarifying questions as I triple checked with my psychiatrist that my GP can prescribe - saying yes they can. Is it true that they won't and only specially trained GPs can now prescribe?

Sincerely, a very tired and burnt out girl.
