should i upgrade my f7 to the x8 pro?

i just use this phone as a backup, only stays on my shelf all day all night in case my main phone dies

Ignoring other app cloud storage, since it's gone from the device, and only in Google photos, would that mean the photos are permanently gone if the Google photos account gets disabled permanently?
