Why are they so adorable? What is it about tiny, fluffy baby waterfowl that are so irresistible? Also, I can't stop laughing at the way the goslings look confused by the wood duck ducklings in the first photo...

I drove over to the Washington coast to see the migrating shorebirds a few days ago. I didn't have too much experience with shorebirds before now, so I loved getting to see so many! Totaled 14 lifers, 10 of which being shorebirds.

Pictured: Marbled Godwit, Semipalmated Plover, Black-bellied Plover, Hudsonian Whimbrel, Sanderling, and a flock of mostly Dunlins (pretty sure lol).
