Foreign visitor: Jingu or Koshien?

Coming from the US with my kids (ages 8 and 11). Want to catch a game and it will be between the Swallows at Jingu on June 19 or the Tigers at Koshien on June 24 or 25. I’ve been to a game at Tokyo Dome so would like something new. First NPB of any kind for the kids.

Which should I choose? Obviously for Hanshin, I’d need to get secondary market tickets.

Hey, I did search around first (as one of my pet peeves are redditors coming to ask common questions in a sub without reading past posts), but I still find myself here to ask...

48 year old American father (been to Tokyo three times) traveling with my 8 and 11 year old kids (first time out of the country for them). I'm not worried about things to do and places to eat - that I have pretty covered. But...where to stay? I am finding a lot of hotels to be booked for the time we are visiting (June 17-23 before heading to Osaka), so despite searching for family-friendly options, I keep hitting dead ends.

I'm a 4-star+ snob, but I'm not at the Four Seasons level or anything like that. The kids do enjoy hotel pools, and I enjoy a gym, but I am fine without either if the accommodations and location are right. Prefer 10 min or less walk to a major train line. Loud/busy area like Shinjuku is no problem, either - these kids are used to big city life.

I've got the Mimaru properties in my back pocket as a fallback if I don't find something else in the next few days, though I'd probably prefer a regular hotel feel as opposed to an "extended stay" type place - I won't make use of a kitchen, etc., for example. $350 USD/55000 JPY per night or so would probably be my ceiling.

Anyone have recommendations? Thank you so much in advance!
