Advice needed for "sliding down the hill" foundation on a roof structure that covers a trailer. My parents built this roof over a trailer at their cabin in Northern Arkansas. It's held up pretty good for about 20 years but now it seems like the snow and rain has washed it out under a few of the supports. I'm sure the proper thing to do is jack up the entire thing and rebuild the footers, however, that is prohibitively expensive for such an inexpensive structure. There's a large cedar tree at the center of the roof structure that's not going anywhere so I don't imagine that it will actually go anywhere. But it's unsettling to see the footers resting on a pad that's being washed out with every passing year.
I'm thinking about digging down a bit and driving some rebar into the ground and building a formwork slightly larger than the pad and just using some concrete to make the "pad" a little bit larger.
Any thoughts? Thanks for your time and help.
