Why should your soul
not echo like synths in an underground club,
cold lights flickering against wet concrete,
everyone dancing like they're outrunning death
for just one more night?
People are most honest
under artificial lights.
There is something sinful
about living in your own mind
without becoming hard enough
and escape from this world,
to find a better void to fill -
into the depths of the neon.
