I pulled up carpet and need to put shoe mold back down in my 100+ year old house, but the right wall molding is so high the normal shoe mold fits under and leaves a gap. The line on the right wall where the shoe mold would have been is 1 10/16 inch. Any recommendations for a semi easy fix? It’s lathe plaster and has been painted over a million times, so I don’t think it’s possible to pull the molding off and lower it without major renovation.
