How do you find the soap or paper in a public restroom?
Hi all,
we're students working on a university project, and we're currently developing ideas for making tissue and soap dispensers in public restrooms more accessible. Our idea is to make each dispenser easier to recognize through a distinct shape and color contrast, and to add Braille.
We're curious to find out:
- How do you tell which dispenser is which, for example soap versus hand sanitizer?
- What helps you most: shape, contrast, position, Braille, or something else?
- Would you actually use Braille on a dispenser, or is that impractical in this setting?
Any thoughts or experiences are welcome. Thank you!
