Help! (NSFW for linked videos)
I don't know what to do. We had the trainer come out and ever since then, things have been good until today. We had two previous severe fights like this and called the trainer. Both previous times, the brown dog attacked the white dog. (Brown dog lived here first) but the white dog is bigger and created level 4/level 5 wounds on the brown dog in defense.
They are both sweet girls but out of nowhere this happens. For context, the white dog ran off into the field and we were calling for her & looking for her. The dogs were outside with the kids playing and then they notice the white dog was gone. My husband was out in the car looking for her and I was in the back field calling for her, when she comes home in the front yard/field.
She seems fine and calm coming home but when our kids and other dog approach her, I'm not sure if she attacks or if our brown dog does. Also not sure why our kids have our brown dog on a leash (idk if that might have something to do with it?). Our brown dog stays in our yard really well.
We have no clue what breeds they are. We got them from local shelters.
My husband wants to euthanize both. He can't have it on his conscious to rehome them and they do it again to someone else. I just don't know what the trigger is. They don't go after us or the kids. But the white dog is so much more powerful than the brown dog that I seriously thought she was gonna snap the brown dogs neck. Bohdi (our white dog) is super sweet and has only ever been reactive towards Rylie's aggression. Which it almost looks like Bohdi attacks Rylie in this video.
I'm not sure if Bohdi was in some sort of "mode" from running off? Adrenaline from sniffing wild animals?
It looks like Rylie just went up to greet her? But I'm at a loss. It's a Sunday & our vet isn't open. We have them both in their kennels, I have to assess both their wounds yet.
Rylie (brown dog) is 2yo, Bohdi (White) is 1yo. Both rescues. I think Rylie might be 50-75% Appenzeller Sennenhund, Bohdi on the other hand, we have no idea.
