high contrast tips

Please give me some tips on getting high-contrast thermal photo prints. I can't figure out how you get such sharp, high-contrast prints. What does it depend on? Is it the print density, the type of paper, or the camera model? Please share any useful information, as I'm new to this and haven't been able to find answers to my questions. Feel free to recommend any camera model or paper types worth checking out. Thanks!!
