Fashion history, vintage & sewing shopping tips for mid-Oct solo trip

Bonjour! I'm a mid-40s woman traveling to Paris solo in mid-October. I am flying standby (via London, checking out a Schiaparelli exhibition and new David Bowie immersive experience) planning on scooping up a last minute hotel deal (thinking 11th arrondissement for the first few nights at least) and spend all my pretty pennies (or euro) on museums, shopping, sitting in cafes to knit and people watch. I lived in San Francisco for more than a decade, so very comfortable with public transit and being on my own in a major city.

My main objective is to immerse myself in fashion history, shop for vintage clothing & collectables, and do some sewing-related shopping for fabrics and haberdashery. I have some usual suspects on my agenda: Les Puces, Palais Galliera, Le Galerie Dior, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Versailles. I am trying to get into one of Rebecca Devaney Textile or Flea Market tours, but she's sold out for my dates so far. I also love Art Nouveau and Art Deco-style architecture.

Curious if there are any hidden gems, local favorites, obvious omissions, and other recommendations. Cafes with fashion illustration, vintage shops with great 1930s dresses, jewelry store with great deals on turn-of-the-century rings—that sort of thing! Since I am traveling alone, I would very much be interested in a group activity, workshop, or tour with people of similar interests.

Merci!
