My husband has an H-1B visa application, and I am his dependent on an H-4 visa. We are set up as a group appointment in the US Visa Scheduling portal, and we have already paid the visa fees for both applicants.

We have been checking for over a month and haven't found any available appointment slots.

Has anyone in a similar situation (H-1B + H-4) been able to get an appointment as a group? Is it generally easier to find slots if the H-1B and H-4 applicants book separately?

Also, if we decide to separate our applications, how does that work when the dependent has already been added to the primary applicant's profile and the fees were paid together?

Would appreciate hearing about anyone's recent experience. Thanks!
