Best way to restore edge of vintage lace

Absolutely love this antique lace collar, but unfortunately the edges have frayed/come loose off of the tulle. Any tips on the best way to fix this would be appreciated!

Is a soft carrier to hot in July?

We’ll be doing quite a few hikes in BC (van/whis area) in July with an 8/9 month old. Unsure if a soft carrier would be ok (ergo omni plus mesh) or to invest in a backpack carrier. Hikes will have elevation
