Ok I'm not a fan of getting roasted but I've read a few comments about how you shouldn't have the leader on your team and giving this advice to newer players. Felt like I should share my thoughts on it:

The following applies regardless of whether you have a separate leader or not; You will want:
- red gems for 1 set of red nodes for your leader
- blue gems for 5 sets of blue nodes for the 5 members on the team

The reason why we struggle to unlock 2 colours on the same character is because of Holomem points. This is because getting points via achievements gets more difficult the higher you go, especially since some are just unachievable for now (like unlock X solo songs for this Holomem).

Having a different leader allows you to unlock red nodes and blue nodes without relying on the same pool of Holomem points... provided that you are even at the point where you need to unlock both coloured nodes (i.e. you have enough red and blue mats in the first place, and you're just missing the points).

Therefore, if you're new and you're not likely to have that many blue mats anyway, you can just do the red nodes on whoever your leader is + the blue nodes on the other 4 first. Your board isn't something you should stress about yet you can just reset it later anyway.

Or just build your team around whoever you like, seriously. Let me know if I'm missing anything here or this is just straight up wrong.

Edit: Thanks for the replies! I realised I had a misunderstanding about one of the red nodes & I think red off-team leader + blue & green path for members would be most optimal in the long run. Just wanted to correct this for those who can afford to build both colours.
