The Girl in Blue at the Copper Plate

TLDR: Missed opportunity to connect at lunch today that I'll regret for a long time.

Yes I know this isn't tinder, and no I'm not looking for a hookup.

Short Story Long:

My dad passed away last month after a long battle with cancer and Alzheimer's. Myself and my mom were his primary caregivers these last few years and it was tough. Being near 80 years old herself, she asked if I would take her on a vacation and 'tour' the Midwest to get away for a while and I happily agreed.

Coming down out of Glacier and the Rockies, we decided to stop at a wonderful little restaurant called the Copper Plate. The food was amazing.

I couldn't help but notice the most beautiful woman in a light blue sundress type outfit sitting with company at another table.

Given the circumstances, it felt a little inappropriate to be hitting on anyone, but I regret not introducing myself and will think of this as a moment I missed for a very long time.

However, if there was a way you ever see this I would've liked to have said:

Hi, my name is Sean and I couldn't help but notice how stunning you look today. If no one has told you lately: the dress, the hair, the smile... Girl, you are crazy beautiful and I hope you know that.

Sincerely, the guy in the cowboy hat, likely staring entirely too obviously.
