She got away because of a teammate
This was Comp 💔
edit: no hate to the Mei, I'm sure they were just tryna prevent Tracer from escaping, but ironically their efforts actually HELPED them get away by preventing me from chasing

Been tryna figure Brig out on my own based on what works and what doesn't, as well as my success fighting Brig in the past as various Tanks. Was hoping to get some advice/input on what I've been doing. I mean, just because it's worked for me so far doesn't mean that it'll KEEP working or that it's right, right?
For example, been using Whip Shot to mess with Hammond's Piledrive and to throw off his Ult, as well as to push him into walls when he tries to escape after Piledriving my team.
I've also been using Whip Shot to quickly peek and get Inspire going, mostly on Payload Attack maps, to help my team peek more safely.
I've managed to use Whip Shot and Shield Bash to effectively chase down and/or punish flanking Tracers and secure the kill before they escape, and to counter Doomfist plays. Both are also surprisingly useful so far to take out a Mercy if she's providing too much value to the other team.
I typically pick Combat Medic to maximize the amount of time I have Repair Packs available, seeing as peeking with Whip Shot to activate Inspire isn't always safe to try and because by the time I'm in a decent usage case for Whip during a brawl, Inspire is already active thanks to Rocket Flail.
I run Whiplash because it's extremely useful for dealing with squishy flankers, enemy Supports and anyone trying to run away, as well as get that little bit of extra damage in when dealing with Doomfist, Hammond or any beefy bois tryna dive my team.
I've also asked about a gazillion times for our Tank and two DPS to stop chasing the lone JPC as it does nothing useful while I'm getting jumped by D.Mon, Genji and Vendetta simultaneously (the only one on this list that has no effect lol). For some reason, Overwatch players become deathly afraid of their own Supports when one of them picks Brig.
I'm sure I've forgotten a few things, but if anyone has any input on my tactics so far ^ or new ones to advise, as well as any particular Heroes I should learn to counter and how, please let me know. I really love Brig so far and she's a great counter to some of the most annoying Heroes I've faced so far (like my wife's favorite to play, D.Va)
This commission was done sometime in 2020 according to the file date, and the artist apparently didn't put their name/watermark in the image OR the filename. It's just titled "SPOILER_Froggy_Commission". Any and all leads are very much appreciated. (if it helps, the character's name is "Cisco")
I'll try to keep this as brief as I can.
An old TF2 Comp (RGL) buddy of mine, before QP tonight, told me I "sometimes play like a Silver 2 Tank", by which apparently he means "like another DPS". Example Heroes like Mauga, Ram, JQ, when our DPS aren't doing anything useful.
Now, I've been playing since the launch of OW 1. I rarely do my Comp placements, and usually do them alone, but I usually place high Plat/low Diamond (for Tank specifically). He's a recurring Silver 2 that just ground for a few days to reach Gold 3. Ever since Role Queue, it's been impressed on me by the community that as a Tank, if your DPS are falling short/throwing/unskilled, then it's up to YOU to pick up their slack. Like, the SUPPORTS sure as heck aren't asked to handle it
So what gives? Is he right and that I shouldn't cover for bad DPS, or is HE the one in the wrong?
I've gotten nothing but praise from people I play with (and against) for my Tank, ig this just hits me harder cause I've known this guy a while and that we played on multiple Team Fortress 2 Comp teams together before.
Small context, my usual Tanks are Reinhardt, Junker Queen and Mauga (Orisa and Ram as backups). I mostly play Rein or JQ until or unless I feel a different Tank would be more useful.
Any and all input is welcome and appreciated. I admit I'm not 100% caught up all the time on what people believe to be the best way to play the game.
This isn't a rant, isn't flaming, nothing like that, it's a genuine inquiry. (Names obviously censored for privacy of all, except my own as the Junker Queen)
I've noticed that something like 95% of the Reapers I get paired with (and 45% of the ones I go up against) seem to insist on basing their entire build around Death Step (for those like me with brain unfunctionality, that's the Power that makes you Death Blossom for a second and a half after using Shadow Step, but at 50% the damage a regular Death Blossom would do) and doing nothing but that every life, every battle, every round, even though it...doesn't work anymore.
Are they new players who saw it in an old montage and just don't know any better? Is it some form of protest about the state of Reaper in Stadium? Is it a meme of some kind?
While it is really annoying to basically be down a player, I'm not mad, I'm genuinely just confused and trying to understand why this is so widespread.
I've also noticed that a majority of these guys are fairly toxic, albeit usually a "passive" kinda toxic where they simply "do we have tank" "juno where are you" etc (basically deflecting/projecting), so maybe it is just a meme (a toxic one to be sure, but a meme nonetheless)?
Also forgive me if my numbers aren't very impressive on JQ, this was my second game after like a 1-2 week break from Stadium.
