So I just got told by my boss that I need to submit my original diploma in addition to my apostilled copy. I had a scan of my diploma so getting an apostilled copy was no issue but I can't find my original anywhere. I'm panicking right now because I'm supposed to submit my documents to the school within the next week.

Did anyone else have to also submit their original diploma as well? I'm so confused because I thought we only had to submit apostilled copies of them.

I was going to use Accurate Biometrics to get my criminal background check while I was visiting Korea. I was a little confused about some of the process so I called to ask and the person I spoke to said that they can only process background checks for people who are in the US.

I was really hoping to get all this done while I was here and then secure a job quickly once I was back in the US but that's thrown a big wrench in my plans. Is there any other method or channeler I could use or do no channelers process background checks for people who are outside the US?

I want to go back to teaching for a bit and I'm getting all the required documents ready and went to Korean Consulate website for Honolulu, Hawaii, which is where I intend to apply from. What's making me confused are the requirements that are listed from their end:

I last taught in 2018 on an E-2 and did a visa run to Japan. I don't have the means to take a flight to Japan from Hawaii, I wanted to ask if anyone recently applied through this specific consulate and if they also needed all these documents in addition to the VIN. When I was in Japan I remember just submitting my passport, passport photo, VIN form, and health statement.

I'm a little baffled why they need things like the original degree certificate when we've supposedly just handed in our notarized and apostilled degree certificate, and now they need the original? Do they even hand it back to us? Another thing, I don't have a state ID (been away for a loooooong time and procrastinated on getting it renewed...) and it takes time to get one so is something like a bank statement or utility bill enough to compensate? I have a potential job offer lined up and they want me to start ASAP.

I'm currently visiting Seoul and want to teach again on an E-2 visa. I'm trying to get all the required documents ready again and I went to the same police station I went to last time to get my fingerprints taken and this time was told that they no longer do it for foreigners...

I wanted to ask if anyone here who came to Seoul as a tourist had their fingerprints taken without any hassle, and where exactly they had them taken? I'd really appreciate any help right now as I need to get all this done quite quickly to secure a job offer.
