Felt good to finally get the first win in the Nu stadium!

Spring break, 1977, my dad and several friends rode motorcycles from Evansville Indiana to Fort Lauderdale Florida. My dad took a solo trip to Key West for a day.

“I had my stars & stripes helmet. My dad’s police leather jacket. Army duffle with sleeping bag inside. Mask fins and snorkel and maybe $20 in my pocket. I had a BBQ sandwich and a beer for dinner at a roadside stop. I camped on one of the islands that night when I headed back to Fort Lauderdale.”

Life was different back then for sure.
