What's it like living in rural upstate New York south of I-90, outside the Catskills and Finger Lakes?
Once drove through this area on way to Ithaca. It seemed a bit forgotten and overshadowed by the mountains to the south and the lakes to the north, but some of the small towns intrigued me and the countryside was attractive. What's it actually like to live there?
