Sony bravia 9 85" - started making endless clicking noises while powered off. Driving me nuts
Hey all,
I have a Sony Bravia 9, 85 inch that I purchased in Nov 2024. Sadly it's 7-8 months past its 1 year warranty.
Over the last 2 weeks its started to make a clicking type noise that's coming from behind the unit somewhere. Not as loud as the TV on/off click, but definitely noticeable. It changes from every 60 seconds and occasionally it will trigger every 5 seconds after turning the TV off. This can go for hours.
Only when powered off (but plugged in) does it make this sound. The clicking/ sound doesn't happen when I unplug the unit.
I've tried everything I can dig up on Google about resetting, turning off high energy modes, killing wifi connections, disconnecting all hdmi/USB connections.
Has anyone encountered this before? I know there was a system update within the past 2 weeks but I cannot say if it started happening afterwards exactly.
*also - I don't live near any Sony licensed repair companies either gg.
