Guys, I would like to share an old idea I had for an Over the Hedge fanfic, and I need some help with it

Here's the Idea: Since Over the Hedge it's a movie about Family, probably the best way to expand its universe with the original characters would be by exploring the Family's "one-by-one" relationships, which we don't know 100% due to the insufficient screen time. Over the Hedge is also about teamwork for survival. So mixing this both elements (Family and Teamwork), we can come to the conclusion that the perfect Over the Hedge sequel / fanfic, would be one that explores how character A and character B would work together as a duo (Or even a trio) and how would they support each other

And old plot idea i had in 2023 (Way before I joined the fandom) is that after a failed heist, the hedgies would be captured by the Animal Control and they would be separated in small groups (duos or trios) and each small group would be sent do a different nature reserve, forcing each duo / trio to work together to find their way back to home without RJ and Verne to lead / guide them.

So that's the fanfic idea I would love to work in, by exploring how would a trio or duo (For Example: Verne and Stella) would support each other and work together to find their way back to home after they got captured by the Animal Control

The thing is I would love to explore ALMOST ALL THE POSSIBLE CHARACTER DUOS / TRIOS, which would not be possible to do with just one plotline, so I feel this idea would work very well as a interactive story / text game hybrid with several "paths" (Story variations), each path having its own set of character pairings

The main path, would be the most obvious pairings:

1. RJ, Verne, and Hammy (The classic trio)
2. Lou, Penny, Spike, Bucky, and Quilo (The porcupine family)
3. Ozzie and Heather (The Opossum family)
4. Stella and Tiger (The newlywed couple)

And for the other paths, we need to figure out things like the challenges that the duo / trio would have to face, and how these characters would support each other and work together. For example, a duo that would be interesting to work on due the challenges, would be Hammy and Tiger. The challenge is that Hammy have good survival skills, but terrible focus due to his hyperactive child-like personality, while Tiger would have good focus, but poor survival skills due to being used to live as a housepet

So, that's what I need help with. I need help in figure out how almost every single possible character pairing work
