When do you park the bus?
England lost today in large part because they parked the bus with a lead against Argentina, allowing Argentina to control the midfield down the stretch and attack at will. However last week Egypt seemingly lost because they didn't park the bus, giving Argentina the shots they needed to come back and win. Argentina in turn started pressing as soon as they got the lead, making it difficult for their opponent to even get up the field to get a decent shot off.
Curious what the coaches here think about parking the bus and when it should be applied. What's your endgame strategy when you have the lead? What strengths and weaknesses do you look for in your own team as well as the opponent when deciding?
Obviously interesting to discuss the pros, but I'm curious about application at the youth level as well.
