Day 9 post op - Pain meds almost gone
Django is 9 days post op today, and he will be running out of his gabapentin and antibiotics tomorrow. We ran out of the Carprofen a couple days ago and I’m so nervous he’s going to be in pain still! Did everyone else have their meds stopped before the two week mark? I called and checked with the vet and they even said that we’ll be stopping his meds. The nights are just still so hard, we do have tramadol and trazadone on hand but I absolutely hate getting him so looped up on these meds, he acts as if he’s scared on them and it takes almost 2-3 hours after dosing for him to even fall asleep. I just want my boy as comfortable as possible 😔
