Opinions on a two week notice

What do yall think about the two week notice? It’s something I’ve always done but I just journeyed out and I am planning on leaving this crappy company and don’t feel like sticking around any longer than I have to. Has leaving without notice ever bitten anyone in the ass here?

How do yall feel about switching companies right after you get licensed?

Long story short I’ve been with this company over a year and they are the most disorganized one I’ve worked for (I hardly ever know where I’m going that day and I never have the parts I need nor can I get them), they have apprentices running jobs and no journeyman they’ve ever hired has stuck around long, craftsmanship is almost non existent too. I just got my license and I’m wondering if I should stick around and build up some experience or jump ship and take a chance with a new company. I’m just afraid I won’t get any respect at a new company as a fresh journeyman.

Just got my license, how common is this

I just got my license this week and I’m already running a job even though I said I’ve had no interest in doing that and I need to build my skill set up first as I’m working industrial which is totally new to me within the last year. My boss won’t listen and I’ve already wanted to jump ship for various reasons but I want to know how common this is and if I’ll be put in the same position if I go elsewhere.
