I wanna prefix this by saying I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT wish to start drama or bash Ricky!

It’s something I noticed and have been conflicted the entire day about. I’ve not seen any discussions on it online, from Twitter to TikTok. They also have no history of doing anything similar.

I wanted to ask any black fans that may be here on how they feel about this? Is it offensive and did Ricky do something CA?

Again, I do not wish to start anything. I just couldn’t in good conscience get it out of my head in case it is CA, and wanted to ask for confirmation here since I can’t see any discussion abt it on social media 😅

I am also planning on deleting this post later just in case.

Saw this and remembered the discussion/discourse abt this on the sub. This is the context and full reel for anyone wondering.

He was specifically talking abt fans who leave somewhat negative comments under his posts like “you’re performative”, ”that’s cringe” etc. saying he doesn’t rll take them seriously, especially after checking the account, and more as playful banter.

On a serious note, I know he tried to spin it in a more “haha we have fun here” but I feel bad for idols who have to deal with genuine and unwarranted hate comments, and I’m glad he can deal with it like that. I’ve seen many idols (including nayeon of twice) say basically the same thing when dealing with hate comments. (I could never imagine leaving negative comments abt someone, especially directly under their posts).

I’ve been OBSESSED lately with “Duang With You” and I JUST discovered they covered The Eve by EXO, OMG 😩

I don’t know if this is exactly appropriate in this sub as they aren’t exactly kpop idols but Thai BL actors, but they are covering a kpop song so idk.
