What clouds are these?

In the span of like 20 minutes I saw all of these. They didn't last that long, most of them were gone in 10-15 mins.

Some of these kinda look like funnels.

Synthetic Antipinite Crystals I grew

These were made by reacting basic copper carbonate with oxalic acid, potassium oxalate and sodium oxalate in their specific ratios and then evaporating to the point it wasn't dilute but not yet crystalizing. They grew very quickly which wasn't intentional, in my experience it tends to crystalize very quickly but even with more controlled crystalization they look almost the same.

The last image is a single crystal taken with a really bad macro camera.

Is this real Zapatalite?

seller claims its zapatalite from Miguel Vacas mine in Portugal. It weighs about 40g, very chalky, streaks and powders easily.

Dehydrozingerone

I made it from the condensation of vanillin with acetone catalyzed by sodium hydroxide. The product was recrystalized from acetone, yielding 3.1g (max yield is 5.05g).

Also the image was uploaded to the wikipedia page!

Is this vanadinite?

I got this for 12 euros, weighs 94.43g and looks nice. Its just not the normal red of vanadinite. I was also thinking it might be endlichite. I'm not too good with minerals so I don't know.

Also they claimed its vanadinite from Marroco.

also its not aragonite as I tested reaction with acid and no CO2 was observed. also its very dense

Common methods for producing cinnamic acid typically require toxic acetaldehyde or difficult-to-obtain acetic anhydride. Instead, I used the haloform reaction of monobenzalacetone, which is easily synthesized from benzaldehyde and acetone. I followed the Organic Syntheses procedure for my preparation (https://www.orgsyn.org/demo.aspx?prep=CV1P0077). The haloform reaction (using sodium hypochlorite) yielded 1.6g of product from an initial 3.5g of monobenzalacetone. This 45% yield is respectable, though lower than the 88% reported in literature (https://doi.org/10.1002/jccs.195600011).
