In Nassau County is there a timeframe (30days) to purchase a firearm? I heard there is/was. Thank you.

Is there a limit to purchases made at the same time? And is there a registration fee for each when registering at the town when you go after purchase? Also if a SG is purchased will another background check be required if cleared with pistol permit? Sorry for all the inquires. I’m learning the rules.
