not new to biking, but new to road bikes. i have a road bike but it is cheap and pretty much the lowest of the low. im on a relatively tight budget and im trying to aim somewhere near $1,200 but I'm willing to wait a bit to push higher if it's the better option.

im aware that 1,200 won't even get me out of entry-level road bikes and I'm thinking I should probably save but i wanted opinions for what i should do next before i do anything rash

if it helps, at the very least, I'm looking for an endurance style bike with DCL/STI brake levers and something relatively lightweight
