Where would you buy a house, and why?

My partner and I are currently living in Campbell River. Looking to move out to a more rural area and buy a property there. We don't need a full blown acreage but a larger backyard would be nice.

We're quiet and don't need any night life whatsoever. We're both immigrants, with one of us being from Southwest Asia (I'm not sure if it makes any difference.. but thought I'd mention). We love anything outdoors, so North Island is amazing for us.

So yeah, Sayward or Gold River? Why or why not?
