How to get blue-black raven feather color?

Hello all! I am making a raven inspired costume for ren-faire and I think I've bitten off more than I can chew. I've never dyed fabric for sewing before and foolishly believed it would be easy.

I am dyeing two fabrics. One of them is a linen-rayon mix (the opaque fabric), and will be used for the main dress. For this fabric, I would love it if I could get a sort of watercolor-y effect of blue and very dark black (some reference images included, though I'd like a more subtle version of the pattern in the reference images). The other fabric is a cotton voile (very see-through fabric), which I will be making a cape/shawl out of. For this one, I wouldn't mind dyeing solid black.

I'd appreciate any advice, as I'm pretty new to dyeing stuff! I already plan to buy dye from dharma trading. I've also included a reference picture of a raven where you can see the blue/black nature of the feathers well. Thanks for any help!!

I was recently given this nepenthes, and given no information about the species or cultivar. I'd love to figure out at the very least if it's a lowland or highland nepenthes, if that's possible to figure out from these images.

Unfortunately, it only has one uninflated pitcher so I understand if IDing it isn't possible! The only hint I have is that it's probably a cheap, or commonly distributed species/cultivars (like the kind you might find at Lowe's.) Thanks for the help!

p.s, I will be moving it into a better terrarium/better substrate and a draining pot soon, I just don't have the ability to do so right now!
