What’s going on with my bf’s weeping willow cutting?

Looking for possible diagnostic info or confirmation of normalcy.
My boyfriend recently potted up a water propagated willow cutting. Well draining loamy soil. Plenty of sun. (Window and grow light) and is pushing out healthy growth. We are long distance so I haven’t seen it in person but it seems really healthy. I’ve searched online and can’t find anything like this. Only other plant he has is a monstera and it is perfectly healthy. Is this normal for willows?
