living in a sub 800 sq ft home means every inch counts, and our current bulky appliances take up way too much valuable floor space. we have a strict budget of 2500 dollars to swap out our old fridge, range, and dishwasher for counter depth or 24 inch options that actually fit our tight layout. buying compact pieces individually gets ridiculously expensive, so finding a solid bundle seems like our best bet to stay on budget.

i was checking out some appliance package deals for kitchen spaces on best buy to see if grouping slimline pieces together saves money. my main worry is whether those smaller capacity models hold up well for daily use or if they are prone to breaking down quickly. any recs or experiences if you have outfitted a small home kitchen without overspending pls

for me, it was sourdough baking.

i loved everything about how it looked online. fresh homemade bread, beautiful crusts, cozy weekend mornings, and people making it seem like this relaxing little ritual. then i actually tried it.

instead of being relaxing, i was constantly checking on a jar of starter, worrying if i was feeding it enough, reading about hydration percentages, and setting timers throughout the day just to fold dough. after months of trying, i finally admitted that i wasn't enjoying the process at all. i just wanted good bread without turning it into a part time job. turns out i like eating sourdough a lot more than making it.
