While at Walmart today, one SUV caught my eye... 2018 Dodge Durango Police by Matchbox Moving Parts. I thought, hmm... I have two figures that would go great with that... but after a few seconds of consideration, decided it wasn't worth it because how often would I find a situation to actually use the SUV with figures? Not enough to justify the cost. So the Police SUV stayed on it's peg. Ran a couple more chore stops and went home. While sitting at my desk, thinking of things to shoot, I thought, "Hey, what if I already have a police car with opening doors?" And the answer was, as you might've guessed already, yes! And it had the same livery as the SUV I passed on; mainly black with white hood. Texas state outline with "Texas Department Public Safety." And beneath that "Texas Highway Patrol." Now I kinda wish I had gotten the Durango to go with this Crown Victoria. Hmm... Anyyyway... Here's the shot I was thinking of... 2 & 3.

This meet came about after seeing another club member's post of a Tarmac Works car. Kinda surprised to find out I "only" have ten of them. I love each one of them. Not a dud among them. Any questions, fire away!

I found this STH at my local supermarket. (Kroger.) It's sat on one of my display shelves ever since. About 6 years. My good friend u/G2quickgeorg sent me the Aston Martin STH and since they are both the same color, which I think is called Spectraflame Yellow (? - looks gold to me...), I decided to, at long last, free the Challenger SRT Demon. Here she is, club members. I hope everyone enjoys her!

Got the HW's 6x6 a few days ago. Decided to grab one b/c I had two of the Era Cars 6x6's and wanted to see how they looked next to each other. The Era Cars have opening doors and hoods with engine covers that have the Mercedes logo on top. The HW's has a nicer, imho, floor in the pickup bed and way nicer undercarriage, if you're into that. The HW's wheels have the Mercedes logo on the center cap. The white Era has a cover on the pickup bed. Kinda cool. I like both the HW's and Era Cars versions for the reasons mentioned here. I see that Matchbox makes a couple of variations of the 6x6. Less expensive and obviously so. Great for kids, I think. Anyway... enjoy!

Oh, right... the black one is the HW's and the Grey/green and white ones are Era Cars.

Seems to be turning into a weekly thing in Murphyville. Here's another Sunday Meet, this week, focusing on "International" cars, i.e., Non-USA vehicles. Just having fun.

This was part of the Off-Road kick off event in another post. I had so many photos, like 40, instead of the 20 limit, so broke it off into a couple of different posts. Anyway... The film crew comes from American Diorama "Behind The Scenes" figure sets. (The first set is simply "Behind the Scenes", the second set being "Behind the Scenes II".) The gal in the blue jacket holding the mic arm is from an older figure set. (Maybe "Camera Crew II"? Not sure, but not easy to find these days.)

Got the Jeep Wrangler and Mercedes AMG 6x6 this week. Both Hot Wheels Elite64's. The Jeep is a Mod Shop casting with some crazy off-road accessories. I started putting this scene together yesterday, knowing the Mercedes was due to be delivered today. You can see the Mercedes on the far left of the first shot. Since I did another post of it today, I didn't include any single shots of it here, but it def was one of the trucks to inspire this post. I'm doing another post of the first truck and the film crew that are in shot #1 (in front of the fire house.) Hope y'all enjoy this one!

Just came today. I like the interior in this casting. The black seats with red inserts look cool and the sunroof lets you see it easier. I also dig the wood in the truck's bed.

NOTE: The silver and black boxes in the truck's bed in a few of photos do not come with the truck.

Another Sunday meet in Murphyville. This week it's Ferrari Friday on Sunday. Pretty sure I grabbed all my Ferraris. 31 HW's, 1 Matchbox, 1 Ixo/Tarmac Works, 1 GFCC, and 1 Inno64. They're all visible in shot #1. although one of the Maranello's is just peaking out behind a building. The two greenies were gifted to me by my good buddy u/G2quickgeorg. They remain favs, yessir, yessir, G. A good bit of these are my son's. He let me borrow them as I had them on display. The old school F40, rightmost in the middle row on the front lawn, is a great casting. I don't show it here but the engine cover (rear) opens up. Very cool. Anyway... Ferrari your way through this collection; enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

EDIT: Just noticed the caption for shot #19 is backwards. The car on left is the old one, the car on the right, the new one. D-oh! 🤪

EDIT 2: The caption in #20 says the Elite64 330 P4 is the only Hot Wheels with a screwed on bottom. It was the first casting with a screwed on bottom. I just got two newer Elite64 castings and they both have bases screwed on instead of riveted metal posts.

I saw another post here of a few Corvettes. I thought "Gee, that would make for a nice, little car meet," figuring I had 8-10 Vettes. Well, no, Murf! I have 30 Vettes. I decided that rather than fill Murphyville with Vettes, to just show, well, let's see... 20 of them. Still a nice sized meet. I kept finding more Vettes as I filled up the table. "Oh, look... here's another!" And here's another Murphyville post. Yee-haw!

Inspired by recent posts of white Lambos and the black car meet I did yesterday. Every vehicle white except for the Fire Trucks. Oh, and the yellow forklift outside the model store. Happy Sunday in the clubhouse!

Started putting this together last night. Thought of doing a car meet with black USA cars. There are a couple non-USA, non-black cars. Too many cars to ID each one in their caption, so give a shout if you have any questions.

Saw u/Jaasim99 's post of this new gold Audi two days ago and it went on my wish list. Yesterday, it found it's way into Murphyville. A couple of wheel swaps later and here we are in the clubhouse, enjoying the ride. Yep!

Sub rule #2 is that the first photo of a post shouldn't be a packaged shot. So today, we bring you an existing Subaru from my collection. The second shot is a different car. A car I found today. And as soon as I saw it I knew... this is not a mainline. Oddly enough, it has the same wheels (different color) as the Premium casting in the first shot. And... I found two of them. The first one I found had a crinkled hang arm. So I kept searching and was rewarded with a second car with a mint card. Murf be happy today! Yep.

This car sits right in front of my on my desk. I knew the body came off the power train. Pretty cool. But I'd never thought of propping the body up so I did that tonight. I tried to remove the hand truck holding the body up using AI but AI couldn't do the job. See the last two photos.

When I first saw this race car, I was attracted to it. But not enough to throw it in my shopping cart. If fact, the first time I saw it was at Walmart and they had a price tag on the peg for $14 and change. See the last photo... I took it, it was real, not some AI modded fake thing. Later on, that same day, I saw it at Target and they had it right... $6 and change. Anyway... time goes on, I see it again and again. And I pass it by. But I was still attracted to it. Today was the day that it went into the shopping cart. Here it is! Glad I finally took the plunge. 😎

I coulda sworn this car was black when I saw it in the store. That's why I bought it. Thought is was black. I like black castings. Got it home and, whoa, not black! Some bluish green or greenish blue metal flake. Which... I do like. I wish it were black, but, hey, such is life. Enjoy! (I hope!)
