Car show on Sunday...

My wife, our son, and I went out for lunch on Sunday. To a place with which we're unfamiliar. We pulled up near the street the restaurant is on and there was a "Road Closed" standing sign blocking the street, so we parked in a lot about a block from the restaurant. We realized there was a car show going on, so we walked through the car show before going into the restaurant. Cars were grouped by make and when we walked by the Lotus group, I took the last photo in this group. Then tonight I wanted to replicate the photo with a couple of my cars. Took the photo, dropped it in AI, asked AI to change the car's colors, and, voila! The first photo in this three photo series. Enjoy!

Pulled this out to have it hanging outside the fire house and decided to take some photos of it being worked on and at the fire house. Hope y'all enjoy it!

Found this in a box in my man cave today. Belonged to my son and he's moving some of his collection on. When I saw that this had tires with lettering on them, I freed it from the "For Sale" box and shot some photos of it on the Sears House's front lawn. The white one is from a series of pickups with gas tampos and is a Premium offering. I really like the yellow one. It's a candy apple shade of yellow or super tiny metalflake. It's unique, for sure.

Moved some buildings around and added the Shell gas station that had been sitting on a shelf for months. I like Rusty's being in the middle but not sure about the rest. We'll see.

Was going to do a European car meet but had too many cars to choose from so I ratcheted it back to German cars. A bit more manageable. Yep. Took a bunch of photos as if I were walking around the meet. If you have any questions about specific cars, or whatever, fire away.

The Hubley truck and the Tootsie Toy Bi-plane are from the 1930's. They were my dad's. I had gifted him the truck as a birthday present about 40 years ago and when I gave it to him, he was obviously moved and said "I had one of these as a child." I know he got the plane off of eBay. I don't know the backstory but must assume it was another of his childhood toys. My step mom sent me these and a Texaco pin, seen in the last photo. My dad passed last December and these all meant a lot to him. I will treasure them for the rest of my life, yessir, yessir.

I was watching a British detective show, George Gently, I think it's called. Mr. Gently was driving a Rover P5. This P6 is the closest I have to a P5. I wanted to make the P6 grey. The captions show the AI commands. The first photo in this series is the original, pre-AI photo. Each following photo's caption shows the AI command to get to that photo.

AI even changed the angle of the original photo.

EDIT: And I did this kind of backwards, having the original photo first with the AI photos following. I just wanted to show the AI flow for this car. I thought about having the original photo last, but I thought that might be too confusing. For me, anyway. Any questions, fire away. I used Google Gemini AI for this series.

Another Elite64 casting. Very nice, imho. And the mainline 928S looks pretty good too. Hope everyone enjoys this pairing!

I scored this beauty at my local Kroger yesterday. I had to do a couple of wheel swaps... just because. Thoughts? Enjoy!

I've had this for about a week. Finally freed it today. It's a beautiful casting, imho. The fender vents are interesting. I did not know that they help the car from going airborne if it goes sideways on the track. Without the vents, air collects in the wheel well and lifts the car up, causing an airborne crash. I saw fender vents on the HW's McMurtry Speirling but did not realize the importance of that feature. Live and learn!

Time for a change in Murphyville. Moved the Sears House to Main Street and decided to put on a meet in the huge park area. Dunno that it'll stay like this, but here it is for this meet. Enjoy! (Note: Bubba's here too!)
