Astral Projection causing dissociation/derealization

I've recently been struggling with what I think you would describe as dissociation or derealization, and after a while it finally started stopping, and then everything went back to normal. After it stopped, I started getting interested in Astral Projection, and the first time I tried it I got extremely close, but accidentally engaged my muscles while I was very close to separating from my body. Since that happened, (I'm pretty sure these feelings started after the AP) I've been having the derealization and dissociation feelings, and I'm wondering if the Astral Projecting experience caused it. It's making life fucking suck, and I'd appreciate help.

I just tried Astral Projecting for the first time, and here's what happened. I lay down, fully relaxing my body and trying to turn it off while keeping my mind awake. After a little bit I started feeling tingling in my hands and a bit in my feet. I focused on the vibrations, and then thought to try and leave my body and Astral Project. I sort of thought/imagined myself lifting up out of my body, and lifting one body part. Suddenly the vibrations started getting intense, my heart was racing and my face felt like it was twitching and vibrating fast. I really focused on lifting out of my body, and I felt a weird shift, I can't describe it. Suddenly I felt like I was slightly above my body, and I thought it was about to happen. But then I realized my body had started to move up as well (I was lying down) as my muscles started moving, so I just opened my eyes and sat up. Any tips on what I should've done would be very helpful, thanks!

(also, very random question but can you swallow when you're trying to astral project or not?)
