The city where I live (Liuzhou) experienced an earthquake.

That was truly terrifying. It was my first time ever experiencing an earthquake. According to reports, the quake that struck in the dead of night—around midnight—measured 5.2 magnitude. I live on the 19th floor; at 12:00 AM, I was sitting at my computer working when I felt the entire building begin to sway. It lasted for over ten seconds. My mind went completely blank in that moment—I was absolutely terrified. I eventually managed to drift off to sleep, albeit in a state of trembling anxiety. Then, at 7:00 AM, another earthquake struck—a magnitude 3 tremor this time—and jolted me awake. However, I was still groggy and disoriented, unable to tell whether I was still dreaming or back in reality. In my semi-conscious state, I had to force myself to snap out of it—telling myself, "Wake up! An earthquake is happening!"—before I could finally manage to pry my eyes open. It wasn't until I checked my phone a moment later that I confirmed an earthquake had indeed occurred just two minutes prior. I hope everyone stays safe!

Liuzhou — A City of Rice Noodles

I absolutely adore this city—it is simply bursting with every conceivable variety of rice noodles! The photos here feature Guilin rice noodles, Laoyou noodles, and Luosifen (snail noodles). Each type is prepared using a distinct method—whether boiled, stir-fried, served cold, or tossed dry—and I just can't get enough of them!
