About the lower quality of the MHM shows

I've been wondering for a while whether to make this post or not, but I just figured I'd share my opinion and if you want to read it, great. If not, that's okay.

I've been noticing the same things a lot of you have mentioned in here. The lower quality, lack of research, and the hosts seeming uninterested in what they cover. Also all the good people leaving like Karelly and Austin. I have a theory about why this shift has been happening.

To me, it feels like the quality of the shows really tanked around the time they announced their Higher Hope Foundation. I am personally not American, so I don't know much about how foundations like these work, but I imagine it takes a lot of hard work to run. I think that MHM has put on too much work. I think Josh and Kendall are overworked, I think all their employees are overworked, so they don't have time to make the good quality shows we know and love anymore. They have strict filming schedules, and with Kendall and Josh hosting several shows each I am not surprised in the slightest that Kendall sometimes opens an episode with "I'm going in blind today". They also just had a baby, and I can imagine it is incredibly hard to start working at the level she has to just months after having a baby. I am from Norway where we have about 1 year paid maternity leave. I could never imagine being back at work already. So to a point I completely understand why Kendall's shows have taken a significant dip over the past year. Pregnancy and childbirth is no joke. I also think the fallout with Karelly could have come from a place of being overworked, misunderstood, and or neglected by the others. I don't think she wanted to leave so abruptly, and I am really sad about how it ended.

I am not writing this to excuse them or anything they've done. I honestly haven't been keeping up with all the latest gossip and rumors, so I might be completely off the rails here. I'm just trying to share a perspective with a bit more understanding for the hosts we love so much, and not looking at them with pure criticism.

I am heartbroken to see the shows lose so many fans. And I desparately hope they are able to turn it around quickly, but I think the American way of working needs to change first...
