Sightings of real life zombies

When people think "zombies" they think of the LIVING DEAD/WALKING DEAD ghouls from movies like the "NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD" series of films and such. With there limited effeteness of being shown be mindless and of course the flesh eating. Yet the actual sightings of such creatures has in fact taken place over the decades and years, and yet its hard to say if even half of what am reviewing even fits into the classic "zombie" or not but maybe you could decide that!

-W.B SEABROOK'S MAGIC ISLAND: The 1929 book that put the word ZOMBIE into the international scene and its author being nowadays very conversional.

But am more interested in the very first true(or not) story, Seabrook was told of zombies on the island of Haiti involving a young local maid hired to basically feed the "workers" of the sugar cane fields. She had to fed them unsalted nuts, berries and water. She seemed to good at her job, but deep down she felt very sorry for these undead workers. Until rather by accident or dumb luck on her part, at the marketplace in Port e Prince, she brought fully salted nuts and berries to feed them. Upon eating these, the zombies were jolted into having a full on revolt against there master. Upon killing him, they walked back into the graveyard and there each touching there tombstones, become dust once more.

Seabrook had heard this second hand within this book and maybe its up to you if the maid was right or not to set these zombies free from there unforgiving work...

-THE HIGHGATE VAMPIRE'S UNDEAD: A more interesting if quick unusual sighting from around 1965 at Highgate Cemetery by two teenagers who in the middle of the night, a whole slew of people coming right out of the ground and heading up a tall nearby tree. Maybe blame this quick report on the later mass hysteria that the vampire seemingly cause but this is rather eerie in the sense that he raise the dead like this rather causally. Plus there wasn't even another report like this ever again!!?

-THE GREY HORROR: I just going off of what the great Peter Laws said of this rather eerie tale from 1775 Greenburgh NY.

Starting the case was two lone travelers taking a forest shortcut to get to the town, darkness rather suddenly creeps in and as they further travel have another eerie companion way head of them. The sounds of the forest seemed to stop as well and in there place is silence.

The two travelers catchup to this mysterious third but it isn't even a man but some sort of huge grey undead looking monster. This thing whatever it is grins wide at them, before going away from them. They next hear its long painful screaming cry and they take off right into the town.

The next few sightings involved a Irishman named Patrick o Dundonald, who with a group of his friends end up in an old manor where the monster has sighted, they encountered this thing in the living room of the house. The thing coming at them until one of them lit a nearby candle and seemingly the thing disappeared with it. Patrick O Donald was told by a stranger the next morning of a small unnatural hole in the middle of the forest. Seemingly it was this hole that the HORROR actually come from, and that these holes all over the world including Brazil(more these horrors out there!!).

Patrick goes right to the hole and seemingly almost sees the Grey Horror yet again, then a few days later the townspeople cover up this hole and the horror is not seen ever again.

This is maybe the eeriest zombie sighting yet if it ever really happened but Peter Laws isn't done with things like this yet....

-THE BENT NECK MAN: Famous writer Runyard Kipling is said have encountered this creature in the nearby woods of his home. The creature was seemingly wandering around the Gladwish woods in just endless horrible pain

This sighting by the author was enough to get the interest of his friend a early type ghost hunter, the man hired a whole group of his friends including a reporter to help look on the outskirts at least of the woods to see any signs of the being.

And sighted unfortunately the reporter friend did, a figure gasping in pure agony trying to hold on to its rotting neck that swing around in a broken fashion. The reporter even smashed the head of the creature with his cane, broking it and running away in utter terror and I can't blame him.

The ghost hunter never the thing itself until him and a different friend ended up in the woods again, and heard the loud cracking of leaves on the ground. They hide and this time actually saw this creature, it seemed the ghost hunter out of fear broke one of the branches and it was enough to make the thing turn toward them. Before leaving on another pathway, just leaving behind the now trembling ghost hunter.

The last report if any on the Bent Neck Man was back in 1985 when a hiker ended up running into the creature and being attacked by it in much of the same fashion as the reporter from way back when.

Much like the GREY HORROR this is a terrifying sighting of at least something you could call a "zombie". Right down to the eerie moans it was said to make, again you believe these stories or not....

-THE ZOMBIES OF MEXICO: This last story is actually a personal one from my own late dad. He traveled around the US and into Mexico around late 1959 maybe into 1960 And according to him went into Mexico city and the nearby railroads tracks. There at possibly a really late evening, he saw a strange sight of a whole bunch of railroad workers fixing a track.

Maybe not unusual until maybe seeing there blink expressions and there eyes, my dad don't wait very long to book it back to his hotel to see why they even there at such a hour.

It wasn't until next morning, he want back to the sight only see the track they were lying just straight up gone from that area. So who knows why these weird looking "workers" were basically doing anyways around Mexico City!!!??.

Again these tales are hard to believe but maybe you have own better expressions for at least half of these stories and possibly there's more out there about the undead being sighted like this.

Is SPIDER-MAN:BRAND NEW DAY finally the example of a massive busy world for the MCU?

Long ago Red brought up the fact that the MCU of the past few years wasn't as a truly active superhero world on film. And for good reason, since it only get that way in the wake of bigger event movies like Infinity War and Endgame. And since then there events haven't had been as grand as that "last" one.

But this latest SPIDER-MAN movie does show at last a NY which seems to quite busy with superheroes and threats like The Incredible Hulk The Punisher the mysterious body hopping villain The many villains of Spider man that show up like Scorpion, the HAND Ninjas, Boomerang, Tombstone, Tarantula

All of these characters do make for a more active world like the comics right?

And of course I am not trying to spoil anything for people not seeing the movie.

But do you think this clears up the issue Red had with some superhero movies including the past Tom Holland Spider Man films or does it just make more problems for some other future movie projects to handle sometime?

What do you think is the way to handle even a superhero world on film mainly if not this way?

Hans Holzer's story of a teenager with a new puppy and a visit from a ghost

A quite interesting small true account from Holzer's 1997 book GHOSTS

It involved a teenage girl who recently get a small puppy and on the first night she was very sick in her room. With the puppy staying around her, until a strange light shined into the room.

Out of that light come a little girl dressed in pink and maybe most surprisingly not having a face with her blond hair.

This little ghost girl never even come near the teenager and the encounter don't even last long before she just vanished into thin air.

It happened again the next few nights and always the same thing, and doesn't seem like the main witness ever scared of the girl nor was there ever even much interaction between them.

It seemed that fourth night was the last time, the faceless girl and the teenager would see each other.

It seems the ghost according to Holzer wasn't a resident of the San Francisco house but just someone from the other side visiting. The teen felt she wasn't wanted to see but her small new puppy drew her.

Its an interesting account from Hans Holzer, but what do you think of the fact that ghosts could just be coming and going into some people's house and trying to see there pets?

"Beware the Polar Men!" A British Army unit in Antarctica encountered Bigfoot like creatures

.... In 1946, years before the U.S army's infamous Operation High Jump. This secret mission if it ever really happened appeared in a now decades old article from the Mysterious Universe website.

The story is mainly told from a young sergeant within the British army that also basically doesn't actually "exist" now. And they get ahold this mission because of this mysterious and final radio message sent from a science team exploring near one of the mountain areas of Antarctica.

The unit was quickly gathered in Australia and sent out to found them as well as destroy any remaining Nazi forces that now hide among the ice flows of there mission.

Walking roughly right into the middle of night, they come upon what was left of the science team. There bloody remains were among the wreckage of some of there out buildings, with one building which held the radio unit. Then when one of them open the door to it, something big and mean come out and killed the first few men, they attacked it and finally killed it with machine gun fire.

This creature was one of these "Polar Men", these "things" were supposed to thinner sleek build with white fur and sharp claws, a almost human appearance within the face, also these creatures were very tall as well.

Also this was after the war and no one in 1946 hadn't called these creatures "Bigfoot" yet. But another weird detail was the fact that they were being created or were found by the Nazis who were senting them out as weapons against the British. Which worked given that only the young sergeant and a remaining scientist were left to work against them.

According to this scientist, the Nazis were stationed along with these Polar Men within a warm weathered cave, they were working to uncover ancient ruins that possibly "made" the Polar Men happen.

The Nazis were about uncover a full pyramid like building at the very end of the tunnel, although they never get the chance to do so.

The sergeant used there own bomb in order to take them all out and close the tunnel forever. Destroying the Polar Men and the Nazis inside this mountain.

Again this whole story is fantastic, since this is only account of Antarctica Bigfoot of some kind that happened even before the term get used in the 1960s. And the fact that unlike Operation High Jump, the British actually seemed to stop the Nazis in what was becoming the "Post War" era.

Again I only found this on the Mysterious Universe website, the story if true does seem like it would make a good movie which it sounds a strange mixture of INDIANA JONES and THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD.

Still according to the article this story wasn't released until right around the mid 90s, plus it never really names much people or were in Antactctica this mountain were these horrors dwell are unfortunately. And I have only retold this mainly badly compared to the article.

But what do you think of any this if real or not?
