Hi r/Mercor,

I hope this reaches the right corner of the internet because at this point I feel like I’ve been walking around the same job application maze for so long I’ve started greeting the walls.

I’ve applied to Mercor and I genuinely cannot tell if I’m being evaluated, ignored, spiritually tested, or slowly inducted into a secret society that I am failing the entrance ritual for.

So I’m here humbly (read: desperately) asking:

• What actually gets you noticed there?
• Do I need to sacrifice a perfectly formatted CV to the algorithm gods?
• Is there a hidden “please let this person in” button I missed?
• Or do I just need to befriend someone who already works there and hope they take pity on me?

I am willing to:

• improve my skills
• rewrite my CV again (for the 47th time)
• learn ancient machine learning incantations
• and possibly rename myself “Applicant_Approved_Final_v3_REAL”

Any advice from people who made it in would be appreciated before I start assuming I’m locked out forever and go live in the forest.
