About Feminism and Gender Roles

I’m struggling with the question of how women and men’s roles in the church fit with modern views on women in the workplace and men being able to be stay-at-home.

I see true value in childbearing and rearing, worthy of a lot more honor than it seems to receive today, and I’m trying to fit those ideals into a worldview that includes women choosing to reject the household. I have dear friends that are choosing to prioritize their career, and not have kids at all, or some friends who have stated to me that if they have kids, they will just hire a nanny or have their kid in daycare. I don’t have any right to say anything, as I am neither their husband or their pastor, but as a (relatively) new Christian, I see stuff in the Bible that seems to celebrate the role of women in the family.

I also have a clear view of western culture that women have every right to work, and I also see in scripture that women are key figures in leading the church, like Lydia or Martha and Mary.

To clarify, I don’t think a strict men-only workplace is right or even healthy, but I would love some insight into how we should view this issue.

Note: I’m using an old account I made before I came to Christ and use as my anon, so please forgive my history on here. I still use it because I have a few game accounts I don’t want to lose, along with some friends who only know me under this username.
