Foundation course in Minster vs Metanoia vs CCEP? (Or any other?)

I am applying for my foundation course at these, preference is Minster, any experiences here to be shared that can help me choose one?

I read some negative reviews here about Minster and I am now considering other institutions. Any real experiences that you can share might help.

I am also open to other institute suggestions. Route I want to choose is Psychotherapist (UKCP-registered)

Move from Marketing to Psychotherapy - how do I navigate this path?

Hello! Ive read many answers re this topic here and each one of them have been incredibly helpful, thank you! I still am looking for answers and itd be incredibly helpful if you can guide.

I am 32, Marketing professional of 10years. Wanting to move to Psychotherapy. I have a non-science background and I am completely new to this domain. Here is my plan, please tell me if I am thinking of this right or suggest something that I have missed out on.

  1. Do a 1 year or 6 month part time intro course (L2) - in person in London or Manchester. Havent finalised which institution or college, if you have any recommendations, please drop them here.

  2. PGDip - 2 years part time. In London.

  3. Masters in Psychotherapy. 2 years, PT in London.

I haven’t yet figured out which modality interests me the most but my top 3 are Humanistic and Integrative, Existential, and Psychoanalytical.

Does it matter to know your modality of choice from day 1?

Is there any other route to do the same academic training than what I have lined out?

I also want to work, hands-on, in mental health. I saw recommendations here re samaritans. Do you have any other recommendations???

I will be working throughout my academic years to fund my education, since it is expensive.

Please drop any suggestions and links for me thatd help me plan this better. I plan on starting in Jan 2027. Currently based in Manchester.

Thank you all in advance!

Hello! I am 32, marketing manager, 8 years in and I am done. I am considering training as a nutritional therapist in the UK. Is anyone here who has made a career pivot into Food & Nutrition without a science degree?

Here is some context/background: I am 32 (F), based in Manchester. I have been working in marketing/peripheral fields for about 8 years now, currently a marketing manager at a consultancy.

On paper things look fine: okay job, decent salary. But I have been feeling for a while now that I want to do something that actually helps people. Not just help a brand sell more things, but actually sit across from a real person and help them just get better in life. That feeling has gotten louder and louder this year. Food & Nutrition is a strong channel for me to do as its one area that I have been keen about.

I have been researching a career pivot to nutritional therapy or similar (currently researching and exploring what are the paths I can unlock for this pivot). Specifically the BANT registered route in the UK, through places like CNM in Manchester or IINH online. 2 to 3 years part time while still working.

A few things about my situation that make this more complicated: My academic background is a BSc in Advertising & Communications and an MSc in Marketing. No science degree. Some places will take me directly, others need me to do a bridge course first.

But I genuinely want to hear from people who have done something similar.

Specifically: If you trained as a nutritional therapist in the UK, was finding employment after actually realistic or did you have to go self employed straight away? Is there anything you wish you had known before starting? And honestly, is there anyone who tried this and felt it was the wrong move? I want the real picture, including your good and not-so-good experiences.

Any input appreciated. Thank you so much for reading this far!
