[Hobby] Nonprofit civic engagement app
We’re building something ambitious, and we’re hoping to connect with people who care about the same mission.
THE 2CENTS APP INC. is a newly qualified 501(c)(3) civic-tech nonprofit focused on civic education, youth engagement, community participation, and public trust.
We believe civic engagement should be easier to understand, more accessible, more motivating, and more connected to real community action.
This is not politics-as-usual, and it is not just an idea.
We already have:
• Qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
• Board oversight and governance structure
• A detailed nonprofit business plan
• Pitch materials and app screenshots
• Active app prototype / development infrastructure
• A youth initiative called In For A Penny / IFAP
• A civic framework called NOVA — Neighborhood Organizing, Outreach, Voting & Action
• Core feature systems mapped for civic learning, gamified participation, community action, local engagement, and participation tracking
Because we were only recently approved as a 501(c)(3), we are still in the early funding stage. We are actively pursuing grants, partnerships, donors, sponsorships, and sustainable funding opportunities.
For full transparency, these are currently volunteer roles with the goal of creating paid opportunities as funding matures.
That is why this is posted under [Hobby] — not because the project is casual, but because compensation is not available yet.
We’re looking for mission-aligned people who want to help shape something meaningful from the ground floor.
