my surgeons instructions say to wear the binder for 14 days post op. I see a lot of people saying they wore theirs for up to 4 weeks. should i wear mine longer, or go with what my surgeon says?
I thought up a really cool idea for a book, and I've got a good plan for the first couple of chapters. I'm struggling to figure out what to do with it beyond that. There are so many things I could do with it, and I don't want to ruin a good set up with a boring plot through the rest of the book. I always find that to be an issue in sci fi books I read. The idea is super cool, and the first few chapters really draw me in, but I end up disappointed with how the author executes the rest of the story. How do I go about planning out the rest of the plot? I'm worried about ruining a really cool idea.
all the pictures i see of other peoples healing always has tape or gauze over the scars, mine don’t have that, so i don’t have a ton to compare to. i got DI and a lateral chest lift. im not in too horrific of pain but obviously uncomfortable. since i dont have a lot of comparison photos i just wanted some peace of mind that it’s doing alright. i sent the photos to my surgeon as well and ultimately im going to listen to the feedback they give me over anything else, but i thought it couldn’t hurt to ask. just dont scare me lol im a hypochondriac.

i’m one day post op and in the worst pain ever. changing my binder was horrible and i have a really weak stomach so i almost yakked just at the sight of my nipple. when will it get better? i’m so discouraged seeing other folks taking the recovery so easily and im having so much pain.
the binder im wearing is so so tight post op, and i know im supposed to have it as tight as i can for the next little bit, but im just miserable. any pain management tips?
edit : im 1 day post op i got surgery about 24 hours ago
