I'm 25, female. I'm naturally slim, and have always been in the underweight to normal range in terms of weight/bmi.

I'm 5' 4", 100-104lb and last time I've checked my visceral fat was either 1 or 2 and muscle mass 33%, and body fat 17.4%. Bmi is in the 17s.

So my fasting glucose was 95 at age 20, and now, at 25, it's closer to low to mid 100s. (103-106, rarely falls under 100)

My A1c that I tested on Thursday came out to be 5.7%.

I do have family history of diabetes, paternal grandfather had diabetes (i believe type 2? not sure), and uncle (dad's brother) also is prediabetic, but they were both age 40-50 when diagnosed.

(Both slim as well, don't know if that matters)

I exercise regularly, and I watch what I eat, although not super strictly. I don't smoke anything & rarely drink a single glass of alcohol.

I would also get these reactive hypoglycemia earliest I can remember was in middle school, where I would be really anxious, shaking, and like I could pass out, which gets better after eating something sweet quick. It's also different from just hunger, and I can tell when I'm nearing that phase or at it. I don't know if it's pseudo or actual hypoglycemia, because my blood sugar rarely goes under 100, even after like 12 hours of fasting.

I just did the A1c for the first time the other day, and freaking out bc I didn't expect the onset to be so early.

(also I will be getting more details for my provider on Monday, but just could not wait lol)

ps. I also can't stick to a single sleep schedule (i don't think I was ever able to consistently stick to one sleep time), due to high blood sugar that causes me to crash and take a nap midday esp after lunch or smth, and this makes it really hard to fall asleep early at night, which then I get less than normal hours of sleep at nighttime, making it hard for me to wake up when I want to

I also often feel sluggish/ tired at random times, and I get hungry often (I eat smaller portions of everything but I get hungry super often, also at night as well) I really need something to eat like every few hours (usually like fruit) or else I can get irritable/ just super hungry. i noticed that this irritability/ frantic need for food or something sweet only happens to me in my immediate family (mom, dad, brother). Also, cardio makes me exhausted/ worn out

Esp. when my family traveled together even when I was younger, I would get irritated if we walked for too long, bc I would get really exhausted and tired, as well as super hungry and empty

I've also been gradually losing weight for couple years now (now trying to make conscious efforts to gain weight instead)
