Rest in peace, Konzetsu
I’ve been trying to word this properly for a long while now, I just hope this is good enough.
Hours ago I got back from hanging out with my friends, one of the first things I see on Twitter is Silvervale’s post. My heart literally did many numbers the minute I saw it. That post crushed me so bad, It’s still 1AM and I still haven’t washed off this thought knowing that Konzetsu actually passed away. Being heartbroken now is an understatement, I can’t imagine how worse Silver and her mom must be feeling. My heart goes out to the moon and back for them both.
As an older brother myself, this horrifies me so much with the fact that for any reason if I were to just not be there for my family anymore, they would just have to move on without me. But all I would know is that I would want them to just live their best life regardless of what would happen.
Life sucks, that’s no secret. But what makes life worth living is the genuine people you meet along the way who will be there for you, and I have no single ounce of doubt in my head that Kon was surrounded by loving people all the way through, him being one of them.
Silvervale, Mamavale, if by any random chance you happen to see this, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I just hope that you realize that despite all this, you must’ve already done all you can do to be there for him and that there’s no reason to blame yourself. Please don’t. Kon wouldn’t have done that, either. Nothing will change that he was so loved by his own friends and family in the midst of his own troubles.
Take all the time you need to recover from this. Take care of yourselves. Hold onto those you care about. Don’t forget to check on your friends. And always remember that you are cared about.
To quote from a message I saw in Silver’s discord, I just found this worth mentioning because of how beautiful it was:
Ages pass, snow falls
All the Earth sleeps beneath
Under a blanket of white
Darkness clouds the sky
Snow falls without end
Recalling our Past, we march on
Times of turmoil shall pass
Dawn fills our hearts with light
Our hopes rise with the brilliant
Sun rises with fate in tomorrow
We march on
Candles and wands shall be raised in honor of Konzetsu forever on. Rest in peace, legend. 🕯️🪄🫂
