Has anyone in Dubai had a similar experience with Jetour / The Elite Cars?

I booked a vehicle with them on **3 June 2026** and paid the required deposit.

It is now October, more than **5 months later**, and I still have not received the vehicle or been given a clear delivery date.

Throughout these months, I have followed up repeatedly. The answer has very often been some version of:

- “Next week.”
- “We will check and come back to you.”
- “Send us an email.”
- “Someone will call you back.”

Then the following week comes, I contact them again, and I am told essentially the same thing.

My biggest issue isn't even that the vehicle was delayed. Delays can happen. My issue is that after five months I still cannot get a reliable answer about when the car will actually arrive.

I have now asked about getting my money back.

According to what I was told, **they will not refund my money**. I was also told that they have their own legal team and that they are prepared to make a complaint against me for defamation regarding what I have been saying about my experience.

For clarity, I am not making accusations about the company or claiming anything beyond my own experience. I have documentation relating to the booking, deposit and my communications with them.

At this point I am trying to understand the proper way to handle this rather than arguing back and forth with customer service.

Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation with a car dealership in Dubai?

In particular:

1. Did you manage to obtain a refund after a very long delivery delay?
2. Which consumer protection authority did you approach?
3. What documentation did they ask you to provide?
4. Has anyone had experience dealing specifically with Jetour / The Elite Cars regarding delayed vehicle deliveries?

I would especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the official complaint process in the UAE.
